Diner Card began life as Saver Card in 2009 with 2 main aims; to help our restaurants by encouraging people to eat out more often, and to help our members by making eating out and takeaways more affordable. Starting with just 1 restaurant in Southend-on-Sea we grew and re-branded to Diner Card in early 2011 as we reached 100 restaurants and takeaways in Essex and London.
As the recession hit, we gave our members the opportunity to save money without compromising on their lifestyles and helped restaurants and takeaways to continue trading in the toughest times seen for a generation. Today, with over 50,000 members and 100+ restaurants and takeaways, we are proud to say that our members currently spend in excess of £2,5m annually in our restaurants and takeaway venues; ensuring that our dining and takeaway co-operative proposition remains strong.
Diner Card has grown since our inception and is now one of the leading diners' club in the South East region. We remain true to our roots however, offering our members fabulous value and choice, and our restaurants and takeaway venues a veritable army of foodies through their doors, every day of the year!
